To complete this flower crown you will need the following materials. Links have been included on where to purchase items if you do not already have them at home.

The Materials:

18 Heavy Gauge Wire (I couldn’t find 18 gauge wire in floral section so I used gold jewelry wire)

Floral Tape

24-26 Gauge Floral Wire

Scissors

Wire Cutters

Local Farmers Market Bouquet of Fresh Flowers

How To Instructions:

Make a double loop with the gold heavy gauge wire so it fits comfortably on your head.

Measure the wire around your head. Once you have the correct size, twist the ends of the heavy gauge wire together. You are able to adjust the wire by bringing the wires closer together or farther apart.

Next, you will completely wrap the gold wire with green floral tape.

From the fresh bouquet choose flowers you’d like to use in your crown. Remember, you will want to select a few large bold flowers as a focal point, then use the smaller petite flowers to fill in the gaps on the crown.

Attach the flowers together by wrapping the 24-26 gauge floral wire around the stems. Continue to add flowers until you reach a desired amount.

Use the green floral tape to attach the flowers to the hoop.

The flower crown can be preserved up to 3 days. Lay it down on damp paper towels in your refrigerator and add a few damp paper towels to the top.
