I woke.

My legs felt weird.

Kind of numb.

I scratched them.

Still had feeling.

So, I went about my day.

Dogs out.

Coffee brewing.

Then, straight to my desk.

I have been doing this same routine for the past 3 years.

I started updating some content on the website.

And, there stood my last name in big bold letters.

It grabbed my attention.

I thought for a minute.

Why do I still have it?

I have CHOSEN to keep it.

For HER, my daughter.

The day progressed.

Then, around mid-morning.

Another thought came through.

About CHOICES.

I keep making the same choices for myself.

I keep choosing to be single.

I keep choosing my townhouse.

I keep choosing to juggle all responsibilities.

And, I keep choosing all household duties.

I have CHOSEN this path for MYSELF and HER!

Why, do I keep choosing all this?

OVER

AND

OVER

When…

I could be married.

I could have a house with a pool.

I could have a less hectic life.

I could have L.O.V.E.

The MIND is back to William Glasser’s CHOICE THEORY.

LIFE IS TRULY FULL OF CHOICES.

Everyday we make our own CHOICES.

We choose the direction of our own life.

We choose to stay on the same path

Or

Take a different one.

The choice is YOURS!

Now, my MIND shifts back to my days with a co-worker.

Spiritually, I was connected to him. (I will share in a later post)

He gifted me the book “The Paradox of Choice”

It’s about becoming less choosy to have a more fulfilling life.

Interesting, RIGHT?

I experienced this same paralysis with “The MAN”

I told him over and over “I don’t know!”

I couldn’t say YES.

I couldn’t say NO.

So I said, “I don’t know?”

I was 44 years old then.

It’s the first time I didn’t have an answer.

It’s the CONNECTION.

I had to UNDERSTAND it.

HE would say to ME.

Just,

“Let things BE!“

And, I couldn’t.

Because,

My MIND didn’t UNDERSTAND.

And,

“THE MAN” added a NEW dimension to MY LIFE!
